:D I received my AR just now and she is a beauty, perfect lock up, smooth opening and closing and hell of a tough knife! I also got the kydex sheath for this knife and the design is excellent and the fit is perfect. The only problem I have is everytime I draw this knife the sheath will rotate a little against the tec-lock, after several draws the sheath/tec-lock connection got so loose that I have to tighten the screw! Any one have a similar experience with this sheath? Any way I can make the sheath stay still and the screw stay tightened? Please advise.

Sorry, I can't answer your question, but I'm sure someone can.
I am curious about these though - www.buybrownholsters.com
Anybody have any experience with them? I think I might want to try one for my AR and maybe some other knives as well.

I just called the Striderguys and Monique was kind enough to hook me up with a kydex sheath for my new S30V AR. She said they were out of stock at the moment, but should have some in a couple of weeks.

I had the same problem with the tek-lok on the kydex sheath of my Battle Mistress. The thing got real loose after just a few yanks out of the scabbard. I should probably add that, once I took out the separater inside the Tek-lok and just clipped it to a web belt, it seemed to work fine. However, I could not use it on narrower belts. I think I'll stay with traditional style sheaths from now on out.

I got some "Blue" lock-tite and applied it to the screw, then I connected the Tek-Lock/sheath and let it set overnight. Today the screw/lock/sheath became one! I carry the AR in the sheath all morning and draw it out many times with no problem at all! I think any one with the same problem can go this route or just drill another hole and place the 2nd Chicago screw in to counter the motion.

This is hell of a combination, AR with the kydex! Very nicely carry and instant response to your palm!:)

My sheath does the same. I took the thing apart and put a tad of hot glue on the sheath side of the screw. That kept it from spinning and allowed me to tighten it up far enough to keep it at the correct angle.

Even without the glue it wouldnt go too far on its own. Just kinda annoying.

You are correct about the slight movement that is annoying, even with the Lock-tite applied the sheath/Tec-loc still rotate some what. I did not put any hot glue to the sheath's side screw and now the screw is very tight. I am even thinking about putting super glue to the rubber ring so that it will glue to the sheath.

I am very surprise that Strider did not drill 2 holes on the sheath to stablize this movement. That will make the sheath perfect.

If they did put 2 screws you wouldnt have any mobility in it. Good or Bad?
Good with no mobility because it wont move.
Bad because you have just limited it two one type of carry.
The beauty of the design is that you can carry it so many ways. So it moves around a bit, not that big of an issue

Well, I found the O-ring for the AR's thumb stud in Home Depot. It's the #60 O-ring and can be found in the Plumbing Department. I also replace the rubber washer on the Kydex with a plumbing washer(Harder) along with 2 "star" washers between the screws and the result was perfect! Now the sheath/Loc connection is very secure but I can still move the sheath in any position as needed.

I actually prefer being able to freely rotate the sheath around..
I started out yesterday wearing the AR vertical, but after about 2 hours the G10 scales had chewed up my side quite a bit, so I started angling the AR forward, and then rotating back to horizontal for the draw.

This setup works perfectly for me.

Kudos to Strider on the design of the kydex sheath, it's really quite ingenious. Perfect fit with not rattle, and very secure.
