Who makes the best kydex sheaths. I have priced them from 1SKS, Blade-Tech and the Guy from Canada who post here. I want one that can be removed without removing the belt. I also want it to secure the knife. I have had bad luck with some factory models. I also need one to fit a Benchmade 140 ( theirs sucks).

I know many around here love Normark's sheaths (On-Scene Tactical), and I have to agree. In my opinion, I feel that he would be the easiest to work with personally if you wanted something extra special, and from what I've seen, many of his special concept sheaths are very innovative. I'm sure he could set up whatever you could want!

I have to second what cj said. Eric at On-Scene Tactical makes really good products at fair prices. His service is good, he can special make something that you may particularly want and he is a good guy.

Tell Eric I said hello.

I've got one of Eric's kydex sheath for a Basic #7 and it exactly what you want. The "J" clip means that you can slip it through a best or just clip it onto you pants. And unlike some clip-ons this one holds when you draw the blade!

Eric at On Scene made a sheath for my Steel Heart and it is incredible. He's the one to go with.

I have to add my vote for Eric (Normark) at OnScene Tactical. His sheath for the Basic 7 is top notch construction and offers lots of carry options. He's a great guy to deal with.

BBrown, those TekLoc sheaths look nice. I didn't see a price for them on the site though.
