I wore out the nylon sheath that originally came with my Gerber 600 multitool. I would like to get a open top kydex sheath as a replacement. I have searched the web, & got some ideas about custom mfg. Does anybody know of a company which supplies such a sheath? I would rather purchase a pre-made one than a custom., probably cheaper. Thanks for your consideration.

Hi Sigurd,
I looked for a kydex shealth for my Leatherman Wave several years ago, and was led to another site. The maker produced handmade leather sheaths for Leatherman, Gerber, Buck and Victorinox multitools. The sheaths could hold the tool alone or couls be constructed to hold a Mini Maglight as well. These sheaths were designed to be worn on a belt, but he had one that could be clipped onto your pants, belt, etc. as well. I ordered on, and it fit my Wavw like a glove, literally. I had some difficulty initially removing the tool from thr sheath, but after breaking the sheath in, it works like a charm!
The makeer of these products is Richard Dix and his web site is www.dixleatherworks.com. I have tried recently to contact him by e-mail with no success.
There is a contact phone number on the web site but I haven't treid to call him yet because of lack of time.
When I ordered my Wave sheath, he was very personable, product was above exceptional and customer service was excellent.
Sorry for the length of this message, but I hope the information helps.
Neil

I have several of Normark's sheaths, including one for a multi-tool. You just can't get better work.
