Kydex sheath for Spyderco Lum FB?

Anyone know a sheath maker who makes kydex sheaths for the Spyderco Lum Tanto as a regular item? I know that Blade-Tech or River City would make one if requested, but I'm looking for someone who basically stocks the sheath. I'm just too lazy to ship a production knife to a sheath maker and impatient on top of that. I would think that the Lum would be a natural for this treatment, as it is a tactical/defensive knife saddled, for some reason, with a hunting-type sheath.

Any suggestions (besides being less lazy)? :)

Here's Normark's list of "in-house" sheaths. I don't see the Lum Tanto on there, but contact him anyway--I think he may have some that aren't on the list.

Off-Topic: I notice you're from Waipahu, do you ever go to the Hawaii Historic Arms Association Gun/Knife show?

Klesk,

River city just sent me one of his drawpoint sheaths out of stock - in carbon fiber. I didn't have to send the knife to him.

Thanks to all for the great info. I knew there had to be a better sheath out there.

ZG, yes I go to the Historic Arms show, almost every one. It's held twice a year, usually in March and September (haven't found out about this year's shows yet). There are some historic displays, a couple of local gun dealers, one or two guys who hotrod ARs and 870s, some parts for military-type guns (M1/M1A/AR-15), some reloading supplies and a couple of knife shops. Stan Fujisaka is almost always there, as well as Tom Mayo and Ken Onion, although I didn't see Ken last September. Usually have some decent deals on production knives - right after I paid $69 for a Mini-Grip for my wife, I saw it at the show for $49 :( Oh, well. If you need further information, don't hesitate to e-mail me.

My friend and I have been to the last 5--we never miss it. Didn't see Ken or Tom at the last one--in fact I only remember them being there one year (at least since I've known who they are), and that was the same year that the Strider guys were there as well. This year is March 1 and 2 (at least according to the website).

Bob Lum uses Tactical Tools as his fixed blades kydex maker. They are intimately familiar with his blades. I have several that came with my customs, and the Spyderco Lum FB fits in them perfectly.

Boink: sorry, I don't own one yet. It's probably the next knife I pick up, but I didn't want to get one unless I could get a good sheath for it. I've handled a couple, and I like the way they feel; sort of like a Cold Steel mini Tanto, but not so 80's :D . All the ones that I've seen have also been almost scary sharp out of the box, something that seems kind of rare nowadays.

Tonyccw: thanks for the tip. I didn't know those guys were still around (or are they just back?). I have a flyer of theirs from, geez, 5 or 6 years ago, and it seems like they disappeared before I could order something.

Normak: you have mail.

Again, thanks to everyone for the good info. What was life like before the forums? Can't remember...

Spyderco Bob Lum Tanto sheath is a stock item here. Just shipped six to Spyderco Factory Outlet, so they are available there also.

No, they're still around. I got something from them recently as a matter of fact.
