Kydex sheath help

So I've got a CRKT Minimalist that I've been wearing as a neck knife almost daily and the kydex just doesn't have the same hold that it did out of the box. A few times the past 2 days I've had the knife pop out of the sheath. Was wondering if there's a quick fix or if it's something I'm going to have to deal with or get a new sheath. Any advise/suggestions?

It's certainly possible to adjust it a bit. A heat gun (people have used hair dryers, but I don't have any experience with them) directed at the retention area (right where the scales jut out above your index finger in this case) will soften the material. At that point you can insert the knife and squeeze the softened area to get the retention you want. Use the low heat setting on the heat gun (no idea on a hair dryer) and keep it constantly moving. You don't wanna stay in the same exact spot. Only heat until it's soft enough to squeeze or you'll ruin the material. Gloves are a good idea.

Unfortunately that sheath doesn't leave much room for error, so be careful if you go that route. It could make it worse if something goes sideways.

Perfect! Thank you. I'll see what I can swing with a hair dryer seeing as I don't have a heat gun. Wish me luck!
