Been making kydex sheaths for about a year and a half now with no problems. A few days ago I made a sheath and I could not pry the pieces apart after molding on both pancake and taco style sheaths. I 've had this happen a very few times and just chalked it up to a bad piece of kydex. I've tried to make a sheath seven times now with the same results each time so I've decided my kydex is not the problem. I have not changed the way I make my sheaths AT ALL. I still do everything from start to finish exactly the same. I have not changed or replaced any of my tools or accessories. The only two pieces of equipment I could figure that could have possibly malfunctioned were my touchless thermometer and my heat source (I use a griddle) so I replaced them both and still got the same results. It was suggested to me that my kydex was getting to hot, even though I used the same setting as always, so I reduced my heat 20 degrees and got the same results. Does anybody have any ideas as to what the problem might be? I'm at my wits end and this is getting expensive. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
