Hello all,

I'm going to need a custom sheath for the great camp knife Terry made me. I'd like someone with whom I can have a dialogue and discuss what I want, etc, as I have some specific ideas. Any suggestion would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

JD

I will second survival sheath. Last I heard, they were sheathing Jerry Hossom's fixed blades, and the sheaths I handled were smooth, quiet, and easy to get the knife out of, while also feeling like they held the knife securely.

Another vote for Eric at OnScene Tactical. I had him do sheaths for eight of my knives and they were all amayzing. I am going to do my best to have him do all of my concealex/kydex sheaths in the future.

I recommend Survival Sheaths... Rob Humelbaugh makes the best plastic out there IMHO... He is REAL good with large blade sheaths too..

www.rivercitysheaths.com or
www.survivalsheath.com

Both Rob and Mike make functional carry packages of various flavors and carry options.

I have seen Robs work and it is very good.

Presently I carry the drawpoint system with a black Perrin Bowie daily from Mike. I also carry a Laredo bowie in a Southern Comfort by Mike and have a Bagwell Belle SC he made for it as well.

Have no knowledge of the other recommendations.

Joss...
Both Okuden and Tim Wegner's BladeTech sheaths are usually available at the WAC shows in Puyallup every month or so... Tim isn't always there, but Okuden is. I have one of his sheaths and it was both reasonable in price and precisely what I wanted...
The others are good, too... but you get to meet the maker in Puyallup without having to pay more than th entry fee...

Eric at On-Scene. I sent our kitchen knives to him a couple of years ago and he made a great set of sheaths to protect the knives banging around in the drawer. We use them about everyday and still working great!

Hey Guys....

Thanks everyone for the kind words...

I'm glad that everyone is happy with the sheaths...

You would be happy with the work of everyone mentioned already. But I would recommend Eric. Solid work and great service. Not a bad guy, for a Canuck ;)

I' ve done business with Eric at On- Scene, Mike at River City, and Robert at Survival. All turn out fine products. But do not overlook Bob Dozier at www.dozierknives.com. I have used his sheaths extensively. And they are top notch.
