Kydex sheath question

I recently purchased a Benchmade 210 with a kydex sheath and I have heard that kydex can dull an edge but cannot tell if this particular sheath is contacting the edge or not. Is there a way to ascertain this? Does anyone else have experience with the BM 210 and its kydex sheath?

In my opinion they dull a blade.

I cannot stand kydex sheaths, in fact I will not order a knife if it's kydex sheath.

I've never had issues with kydex sheaths dulling any of my knives. If you want to see if it's dulling it, just see if the edge scrapes the sheath as you take it in an out (sometimes this is a technique issue). If it doesn't, you're in the clear. I'd rather have a minor dulling/scraping with kydex than possible rusting with leather any day. Leather sure does look nice though.

FWIW, Kydex itself won't dull your knife...
What I've seen happen is if the eyelets or rivets holding the Kydex together are too close to the blade's path, they will rub and that dulls your knife.
