Kydex sheath questions

The first question i want to ask is do all kydex sheaths dull an edge just by drawing and replacing the knife a few times or is this just me ? I have noticed this on the few knives that i own/owned that have a kydex sheath. The ones i really noticed have been a CRKT Carson F4 neck knife, CRKT A.G.Russell sting i just bought, I noticed it on a CS Recon Tanto i used to own. I have had a few other knives with factory kydex but never used them that much to notice.

My second question is Does a custom kydex sheath minimize/eliminate this, or is it just that kydex is a little harder on a knife's edge than leather when drawing/resheathing the knife?

i've never noticed a dulling effect from mine, i have noticed occasional scratching of the side of the blade but no real dulling. I would think a properly designed sheath would minimize any dulling. later,ahgar

I only have two knives with Kydex sheaths, a Dozier and a Lightfoot. I haven't noticed any dulling of either blade.

I have a couple of knives that have kydex sheaths, and don't have any issues dulling the edge of any of the knives.
