Kydex Sheath too tight for drawing knife

My blade tech kydex sheath is pretty new and I've only drawn it out of the sheath 10 times which took some effort along with a thumb push. However, I left the knife in its sheath on the couch for one day, and I'm thinking someone must've sat on it because now it is impossible to draw the knife from the sheath. I have to use all my strength along with a thumb push and wiggle with both hands to get it out. Is this a possibility from someone sitting on it? How can I loosen it? Does cold weather affect kydex like at 55 degrees F?

It will contract in lower temperature but it will break in with use. My Ruck sheath was so tight in the cold the blade was way harder to draw than a compound bow. Now that it is broken in it is just right.

My kydex BK14 sheath was a similar experience, I sat on my couch watching TV and drew the knife about a hundred times or more, that fixed it. I've since gone to leather sheaths, I just like them better.

As others have said, it'll contract in cold weather. After it's broken in, it should be fine.
