kydex sheath

I bought my first benchmade. it's activator snody design. It came with a kydex sheath. anybody experience loosing a knive in that sheath? I'm worried because it hangs upside down just by friction between the bolster and the sheath. I'm also worried about dulling the bolster each time I take the knive in and out because the sheath is hard. Does this mean that I will have to order custom kydex sheath to solve these problems? but I wouldn't wanna get a leather sheath instead. I like the sheath hanging upsidedown from my neck. Anybody have opinions?

Benchmade sheathes are notorious for being...less than perfect. I had a Buy Brown sheath for my 210 and it did the job flawlessly, inverted or whatever. I wouldn't want a "normal" style knife around my neck though, I'd be worried about jabbing myself with the handle should I fall or whatever. I wouldn't carry anything but a HAK around my neck.

In terms of the bolster question, I think they will outlast the friction of the sheath (aka won't get damaged), but that's just an educated guess.
