I have decided to try my hand at Kydex sheathmaking. I have browsed the internet, and seen several presses, etc. I would like the thoughts/opinions of the knowledgable folks hanging out on these forums about:1)Equipment/supplies needed, 2)Best places to purchase equipment/supplies, 3)Books/videos worth reading/watching on the subject, and 4)Anything else you might think I need to know. From what I have seen, I think that a budget of $300.00 should get me started....let me know if I am way off base here. I am not planning on doing this professionally (at least not for a long while), but I have many, many, knives in need of better sheathing, and I prefer Kydex/kydex lined sheaths. Let me also say that I prefer top notch equipment to start rather than cheap stuff to start and building up to the good stuff. I say cheap, not inexpensive because i have seen many inexpensive items that are not cheap in any sense of the word.
