Does anyone have a recommendation for manufacturers of sheaths for deployed (open) Spyderco folders? I've searched extensively and am having no luck.

I've got a bunch of different Spydercos, and am wanting to play around with carrying one already open to comply with laws in my state that don't permit carrying a fixed blade, but wanting to be able to get it out quickly in certain circumstances.

Thanks!

Just sayin' but I think you are walking an awfully grey line with that concept. I'm not sure that would stand much of a legal test but I'm no attorney either.

Or you could carry it closed. It is probably just as fast and more convenient.

Generally the law sees a fixed blade as a knife that is readily usable, the differentiation between a fixed blade and a folding knife is mainly that the folding knife must be first removed from it's carrying device, THEN opened, a fixed blade is readily usable. So if you where to carry a folder open, it is a fixed blade, a poor one at that really.

I can't recommend a maker, as it sounds like this is directly trying to circumvent laws, while still being quite illegal.

I know that's how it is here in Cali. Don't want to get caught with an open folder concealed in your pocket or something.
