Okay, heres my small dilemma
I just havent had much success contacting Robert of Survival Sheath Systems; not sure if hes just backlogged, busy from the hunting season or problems with the business or family. Im going to look for other options, but my sheath request is a little unique.
I am looking to get a Kydex shoulder rig for my TOPS Max the Mini Axe (yeah, goofy name and funny looking little tool).
Thats pretty much the easy part well designed Kydex to offer enough security for a right hand draw and possibly an optional security-retention strap. The flat webbing would keep it pretty low profile its not heavy, but 550-cord would be just too uncomfortable for the weight (already tried).
The second part is the weak side. I would like the option of a belt attachment to keep the rig secured, but I was considering a weak side Kydex accessory attachment. The picture below is one of Roberts systems.
I was thinking of adding both an LED flashlight and small fixed blade (thinking Fallkniven WM1). This system is really when I travel and would only be worn in emergencies under an ACU shirt, so the low profile is key. I already carry a decent fixed blade and multi-tool, but the light would be a good addition and possibly my small WM1 that I often carry in a MercHarness at times.
Any suggestions on the system and anybody will to take the challenge of making one or point me in the direction of someone that makes similar systems? Thanks for the help guys.
