I have made a few sheaths for my knives in the past, I ordered from knifekits.com 2 different kits, one was very thick , I wasn't extremely happy with it, the thinner kydex seemed to work out better, so my question is , what is the best thickness to use so I know what to order, also if anyone can recommend a place to get it other then knife kits...

Part2

A guy I know makes a sheath I haven't seen mentioned much , it's a leather outside, kydex In the middle and the inside of the kydex is lined with satin or silk, not sure , it has amazing retention and is meant for upside down carry and a completely silent draw. If any one knows about this or has a link to how to make that I'd be grateful, thank you.

Part 3
Whats the trick to keep kydex from scratching the blade

1)i use .080 and .090, .125 i use for mounting brackets only...so far, knife kits has the best prices for small quantities..maybe for large too, now that they adjusted their pricing, when ordering you need to factor in the shipping charges...
2) do not know
3) keep your knife and sheath clean from debris and it wont scratch...when you mold a knife wrap the blade with 2 or 3 layers of painters tape, some use duct tape...
4) Google and Yutube are your friends
5) good luck...
