I recently recieved my first SOG knife (Seal Pup). I am extremely pleased with its performance but I am wondering if the nylon sheath that SOG makes will suit me better. My intended uses are outdoor related (hunting, camping, etc.)

Pros and cons will be appreciated:)

First off welcome to the Forum!!! Stay and chat, we're friendly here!

Personally, I prefer the nylon. It is well made, really suits the knife, and the pouch will hold a multi-tool (in my case PowerLock). It can also hold a small survival kit...

But it is a personal preference:D YMMV...;)

First of all, thank you for your imput. Second, I know that SOG makes a nylon sheath just fot the Seal Pup, but do you know of any after after-purchase sheath sales? (preferably on the internet)

I have a SEAL Pup as well and initially thought about getting the nylon sheath, but I have become impressed with kydex sheath. IT is actually a work of art. The front and back are of different thicknesses, and amazingly formed.

I don't know them, but do a search (aftermarket sheaths), and you should come up with several.
