Kydex

I wish Kabar/Becker would offer kydex for the BK5, BK7, BK9.

Anyone else agree????

The kydex for the Eskabar and BK2 is some of the best kydex I have seen made :thumbup::thumbup:

The BK-2 has a nice sheath. According to the Kabar website, it's not Kydex, but glass filled nylon. Even better. The BK-14 sheath is also listed as glass filled nylon. Both are made in Taiwan. I wonder what the tooling costs are for those. Maybe Toooj will grace us with his presence, and enlighten us, although I'm guessing he's really busy, with the Tweeners, and Blade Show coming up in June.

Thanks for making that clear. Those sheaths are NOT kydex. My 14 was dull from carrying it around one day in the stock sheath. I can't say anything abut the BK2 stock sheath.

I do agree but, BKT would offer it as an upgrade option so they can keep their initial retail price down

also, dont you think that much glassfilled nylon would be sorta heavy that big?

But you can always have one made. Granted its about $50 shipped.
