Kyle did most of the work. He is getting good and not needing my help much anymore...

Thanks to Mark at Burl Source, this one has the Best Looking Koa Wood I've ever seen! My photos just don't do it justice.

Please let us know what you all think. Thanks.

Looks good, Don! You gonna bring some of 'em to Little Rock?

Another winner! Thanks for the post and, yes, Kyle is knocking them outta the park!!!!! :)

Very pointy- and very nice. Would love to see that koa against a matching ladder pattern.

she's a cutie!

Very fine knife.. I don't know the story. Is Kyle your son ? Or apprentice ? Or both. Either way I really like it. Shows fine skill and very useful looking blade.

Kyle is my son. He's 21 now and didn't show any interest in knife making until recently.
He started working in the shop about a year ago.

That nut didn't fall too far from the tree.
Or did he finally discover his 'roots'?
Either way - killer hamon backed by some outrageous Koa.

Kyle is stepping it up a notch one piece at a time. The Koa on this one is bonkers! Great looking utility, for sure.

Great little knife. Kyle's skills are coming along nicely. Pays to have a good teacher. What did he use to finish the handle?
