This most excellent knife was recently shown and discussed here; http://www.customknifecollectorsassociation.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2060 where you will find info from Kyle about the knife and sheath, plus inspired photographs of the knife by brother Caleb. I figured the only way I could add to the discussion by way of a second look was to construct a comprehensive composite image and go big.

This is a big knife - OAL 16 in, blade 11 in. It's beautifully executed in every way and its take-down construction is a plus, IMHO, as is the fine sheath with rattle snake ornamentation. For this 'second look' image I sought to provide a full tour of the knife's features and details, accurate handle color and natural perspectives. It's a knife that, along with its maker, stands tall and proud in the forrest of modern custom knives.

That is a fantastic picture of a wonderful knife. Thanks for posting!

Kind regards,

Jos

That's gorgeous! I really like the flow of that blade shape, and the long deep clip looks like a bear to grind, but really adds to the aggressive look. Beautiful.

ABSOLUTELY beautiful on every level. Kyle has been making exceptional knives from the first i've seen them posted, and he continues to add to his skills.

Aside from the takedown construction, great looking mammoth and damascus, that is some VERY tastefully done, well executed gold inlay!

AWESOME work Kyle.

Thanks for the second look Buddy!

Peter

Buddy, you sure know how to draw the best out of a subject.

One thing I've always noted is 'Superstar knives make US look good'. This qualifies on every level.

Ride that wave. Good post.

I love me some blue mammoth ivory! And I love big knives, thanks a lot for sharing.

There's not much more to say about Kyle's remarkable talent. Can't even imagine where he will be in 10-15 years when he's still a young man.

I find both Caleb's and Buddy's images very good, and interesting, as the styles are so different.
