Kyle Royer, MS #115 MS Test Knife Photos

Would really like to see in person. I gather from the photos that the blade has some cool effects that can only be scene when handling the blade. Impressive work.

Caleb,

I'm really liking the detail shots and the lighting therein. You get to see the steel and the precision in a way the big shots don't allow.

The knife's okay too ;)

Thanks for showing us!

Seth

Hey Caleb,

Nice photos! Hard to get detail to shown on a tight Damascus pattern like that. I really like the way the shadows blend into your background on the first picture and give the illusion that the knife is hovering over the background. I also really like the four shot close-up detail picture. Kyle did a beautiful job on this knife (and please pass on my compliments to him) and you were really able to make them "pop."

Kevin

What is that damascus, about a million layers?! When I looked at it a little too long I went cross-eyed, the pattern is so tight.

Stunning in every way, including the photography.

that is some seriously tight steel

Thanks for the nice pics Caleb. Not sure anyone noticed but the handle is a little different then it used to be. I had some issues with the original piece ivory.

Kyle's knife is certainly a stunning piece, but I think the accolades should go to Caleb here. Caleb's style is sure to influence the way knives are photographed in the future. Beautiful work Caleb.

Awesome work on the photo Caleb! I love it. I like them all. :)

Thanks for the compliments on the knife fellas!

Jon, I like the handle better now than before, that ivory is so cool and creamy. :D

Again, great work on the pics Caleb.
