May 17, 2005 SYDNEY (Reuters) - Australian singer Kylie Minogue has been diagnosed with breast cancer and has canceled her upcoming Australian tour, her management said on Tuesday.
"Whilst at home in Melbourne with her family this week, prior to her Australian Showgirl Tour, Kylie was diagnosed with early breast cancer," said the Frontier Touring Company.
"She will undergo immediate treatment and consequently her Australian tour will not be able to proceed as planned," the company said in a statement.
The singer was also due to hold concerts in Singapore and Hong Kong.

Singer Kylie Minogue has had a cancerous lump removed from her breast in what doctors described as successful surgery, at a Melbourne hospital.
"Her spirits are high and she's feeling fine," said surgeon Jenny Senior, who described her as the "perfect patient".
The operation was carried out at the St Frances Xavier Cabrini Hospital.
The singer's announcement on Tuesday that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer attracted sympathy from her many fans around the world."
