That Dui is beautiful. Nice piece of wood on that handle too. Thamar is my man!

I have an L-3 Knife by Kumar. It is my favorite among many Himalayan Imports. The sheath is an in the waist ban, or that is how I use it. It is super comfortable
(the curve makes it so) and concealable. I was totally shocked that I could get away with concealing such a large knife with only a light jacket.

You know, I have never been as big of a fan marrying the over-size guard onto a khuk blade as I have been with the more western shaped bowies, but this one by Kumar flat out works. I love everything about it. 16" is a perfect length and should balance the brass very well in hand. I also like the more Siru-like blade shape keeping the curve to a minimum.

Looks like a fantastic hybrid. Howard knocked it out of the park designing them, and Kumar keeps crafting them to a masterful degree. So lovely. So tempting.

I notice that this L-3 has a 5-pointed star mark at the tip of the sword of shiva. I have seen this star mark at the tip of the sword of shiva on a number of other Khukuris, including non-HI ones. Does anyone know the history, meaning, or the significance of this star mark?

Intrestingly The small stars or circles often found on the majority of commercal post 1960 kukri at the end of the small spines fullers or grooves also represent Lord Buddhas eyes one of the familar all seeing god symbols one sees all over Nepal. {& indeed on Ram Dao.}

You know if they could do that l-3 style but in a down turn on the blade side guard keeping the upsweep on top side guard you would have my money for sure Many times over

Something like this Butterfly (Putali) Knife by Rajkumar?

...Beautifully done 15.5 inch 20 ounce Butterfly (Putali) Knife by Rajkumar. Steel guard, bolster, buttcap and tip. Carved satisal wood handle...
