I just found a source for a limited supply of L-6 decarb free 2 1/8 dia x 30-33 inches long. If you have a hammer or press it would be worth the cost. Oh by the way it is .40/lb. I just ordered 4 bars, minimum order of $50, thats over 100lbs worth. By the time it gets here it should be less that $1.25/lb. Great price with a little work involved.

Is the analysis available? Sounds interesting, but I'd like to know what's in it.
 
Did not ask about the analysis. They were extremely happy to make a small order though. They had 100l0lbs of it so I would imagine they have analysis available.

On the website the analysis reads, Carbon 0.75 Manganese 0.75
Nickel 1.75 Molybdenum 0.35 Chromium 0.90. I do not know if they will send a cert.

When I was trying to get some L6 flat barstock, I called directly to Carpenter steel, and they told me they don't sell directly to individuals. So they said to try Cincinnati Tool Steel, as they're one of Carpenter's distributors.
So, I'm betting this would actually be Carpenter's RDS L6.
