LA County fixed blade legality.

So right now I carry the KA-Bar TDI Law enforcement fixed blade knife and I've found 2 others I think would be better, don't get me wrong it's a great knife, but the blade length isn't great and I heard great things about the Gerber Ghostrike but it's 3.3 Inches. I've been told "Blade length doesn't matter as long as it's not concealed" but I've also heard "Fixed blades in LA County cannot be over 3 inches". Now the main reason I bought the TDI was because I heard it couldn't be over 3 inches but the Gerber Ghostrike just looks way more comfortable than the TDI.
