So, I watched a great new Italian film (La Grande Bellezza AKA The Great Beauty) in the Felliniesque fashion (great performing art as in an ultimate quest for the ultimate beauty whatever that might be and the grand philosophical quest) and it confirmed to me LionSteel knives like the SR-1, SR-2 and TS-1 so much in that mold like the spicy Italian Ferraris, Lamborginis and Ducatis. Art, performing art, architecture and engineering all in a cosmic twist.

Waaaoooo RamZar.... I am a little nervous to stay so close to those BIG names !!! Thanks.

I'll need to watch that film, my Italian is getting pretty rusty so anything helps. I also concur with your sentiments; out of all of my knives the Lionsteel offerings scream functional art more than any of my others knives.

Secondo me, su tutti i miei coltelli, coltelli Lionsteel sono più come arte funzionale di tutto il resto. Boun Lavoro!

By the way, on Sunday evening, La Grande Bellezza (The Great Beauty) won the Golden Globe for Best Foreign Film and in accepting the award the director, Paolo Sorrentino, said: “Italy is a crazy country, but it is beautiful.”

Better late than never...

La Grande Bellezza (The Great Beauty) won the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film two weeks ago. It was Italy's first such Oscar in 15 years with Roberto Benigni’s La Vita è Bella (Life is Beautiful) in 1999. Italy now has a record 11 Foreign Language Oscars.

FINE
