Does anyone know who started the 40 hr work week or how it started? Does anyone know how or who started the Labor day holliday?

This is a homework assignment, right? And you are sooooooo lazy that even using google or wikipedia would be too much work for you -- you'd rather post here and get someone else to do ALL the work for you.

Well, his profilesays he's 57 so maybe it's trivial pursuit.

I'll tune in later to see what someone else posts... But I agree with 555...40 hr week? Huh? What planet do you live on?

Sorry for being lazy. I did my research and found out that it was Labor Unions who got the Labor Day holliday and the 40 hour work week. I am sorry if you guys don't get to work that many hours in a week. from your posts it sounds like you only get 20 hrs a week.

$30k in OT for all intents and purposes this fiscal year and still 2 weeks to go.

At least I get two days off a week now if I remember to say no to the OT on those days. Before 2004 I only got one day off a week.

Grateful for the job, don't get me wrong. But sometimes it's nice to see the wife.
