Went camping on the Missouri over Labor day weekend. Thought you guys might like some pictures. Only had the cell phone sorry.
My strategic weapon covering the Missouri river
each side of this "slingshot" has 4 12' pieces of 3/4" surgical tubing and is anchored to 2 trees with 3/16 cable. I cock it with the winch on my pickup and release it remotely with a modified Pelican release. Don't want to get to close when cocked. Fires the 1# spud or the small cantaloupe, the 3 tomato "pizza round also works well. Effective range over 200yds. Near the tree line on the other side of the river. I believe with the anchors raised to about 20' up I could reach quite a ways further.
Watched a guy get a 6 point bull with a bow on the point across the river Sunday morning
This is the elk herd that hangs in the area. Had some in camp Sunday night after dark.
No hunting righ there or in camp area.
