I recently picked up this Schrade U.S.A. 5OT at a price that I couldn’t resist, but don’t see it making it’s way into my pocket. So, I’ll give it away to one our fine members here on “The Porch”, on Labor Day. A simple “I’m In” will do, but as always pics and stories are welcomed. -Lance48488C25-456D-44D0-A519-2D72A98A5B49.jpeg93A6441E-2A98-43BC-BBE4-19E45BFCA1EF.jpeg

Not an entry, but thanks for the GAW and the cool looking knife people have a chance to win.

Ummm ... When is Labor Day?

Very generous GAW, and a great knife, but not an entry.
I doubt it would find it's way into my pocket, too.

It would find it's way into mine. My wife bought me one years ago, when I worked at the tire shop. I used it to cut the sidewalls of warranteed tires, to prevent them being reused. Well, I didn't know how to sharpen, and thought knife steel was indestructible, so imagine my surprise when, as I was stabbing about my 300th tire, the blade snapped! She refuses to buy me knives any more. I've learned much since then, mostly from this subforum, and would put that to good use. Thanks for the chance.

That's a very nice knife Lance. This is not an entry since I just won John's GAW but thank you for this.

I'm in, thanks for the chance to participate. My fondness for USA Schrades goes back to my younger years. I carried them not because I believed they were the best. I carried them because I couldn't afford other brands like Case and Buck. Most of my knives were stolen years ago when some POS broke into my house. Since then I've rebuilt with the majority of them being older Schrades.

I'm in if it's ok to give to my dad if I were to win. I restored a nice Colonial Barlow for him last year and he's managed to fold it on his finger twice, once requiring stitches . Hopefully a locking blade will help!

Absolutely! That would be fine. Thanks for entering, and good luck!
