I'm going to give my wife's kitchen knives a sharpening and wipe down. What are you doing on Labor Day? I is amazing how little things make her very happy.

When should we show up at your house and what kind of beer to bring? What's the best knife for BBQ ribs?

A Becker BK5 is the king rib slicer!

projects to finish and some yard work left to do...too much rain this weekend so far and today. got to hit the outside stuff when it's in between the storms.

have fun y'all enjoy your holiday and time with family and friends etc......

Playing with my new Reate that just got to me on Saturday. Surprisingly, I haven’t nicked myself yet. So far, so good.

I mowed yesterday about noon and then thunderstorms cooked up later in the afternoon. No specific plans for Labor Day although I'll think of something.

My go to rib knife is the Mora 2000. I was really surprised, considering how many knives I have which I thought would be better. However, the combination of the forward 1/3 for starting the membrane on the baby backs (gotta remove that ;)) and removing the "silver" strands, along with the back 2/3 for cutting the ribs apart is perfect. The fact that it is easily kept razor sharp doesn't hurt.

Lazy knife day here for me. The hardest thing I put my Shuffler through was slicing open a bag of Sour Patch Kids.. And they were delicious!

Reused picture, but it's better than none, right?
