But seriously, if you could identify the foods shown that would be great for those of us who would like to try to find something comparable at local restaurants.

Your son looks like he had a great time. Good you let him be a kid while he is....:thumbup:

I'm lucky I have a "Din Tai Fung" down the street from me. :D dumplings all day long, err after a hour or more in line.

But i would suggest that if you want to eat like Lachine in the photos, you find a good "Dim Sum" restaurant. And order off the carts if they provide that style service where you are at (not easy to finid in all of america). they will likely be serving the assorted custards, dumplings, and steamed buns. Some of my favorties and Dim-sum staple foods if you will are, Shu-mai, Har gow, chow-shu-bao, Lai-woo,bao, also there is beef or pork tripe which are both good, I love chicken feet too.

great photos, as always, and adorable kid. and yeah, the food, yummmmmmm.

I've been to Din Tai Fung in Taipei and Kyoto, I love that place (killer suggestion ron...)
