Just rec. the folder he had up in the makers section today. Irregardless of the bad weather the USPS came through. You can see pics of this beauty over there but let me just say that pics do not do it justice. The fit and finish is on a par or maybe even better if that is possible than my Jones Brothers Responder. I have never felt a spring as strong as on this knife. For all of you blade martialists out there look into one of these trad. style knives. These are big, but carry easy, razor sharp and the blade does not move one iota when opened. Takes a good amount of effort to close and has an excellant excellant half stop. Grinds are symmetrically perfect and sharp and crisp. Did I mention razor sharp? Well it is razor friggin sharp. Now I have to tell ya all I haven't used the knife much at all save for an envelope, meat wrapping and another box with another knife in it. So can't really comment as to how it will hold up in the long run, but have to quantify that remark with I can't see how this knife will not hold up over the long run.
Anyways if he puts anymore of these up don't walk but run to get one. What a piece of art and at the same a very classy working tool. Thats it, thats all I gotta say on this for now. keepem sharp :D

congrats! Ray seems to do everything great! I really got to get one of his blades, I've emailed him and just asked a few questions and he's such a cool guy...

Thanks for the kind words longbow. This is only my second folder that I sold. I'll be making more of them and hopefully I can get better. I know it's a nice folder but there are many things I can still improve on. I also want to make a lockback in the near future..

Ray is a true perfectionist. I'm confident that his folders will be every bit as good looking and usable as his fixed knives.

Five years have passed since Ray began selling custom folders and I can attest to the fact that he has arrived as a master in the art of crafting handmade folding knives. I just picked up one of his Slim EDCs at the Southern California Blade Expo and the knife is perfection. It measures slightly under 7" overall with a 3" flat-ground, stonewashed, D2 blade and Titanium handles/clip. Blade thickness at the ricasso is 0.140" and total handle thickness is 0.350". Blade centering is perfect. Lockup is early and bank-vault tight with no play in any direction. The G10 backspacer adds stability to the hande. It weighs 2.8 ounces. The knife incorporates one the smoothest thrust bearing systems I've ever encountered. In a word, it's a gem of a knife. Here are a couple of borrowed pics from Ray:

Looks great and those stats are sweet (bearings, that thin and 2.8oz, nice). I'm jealous . . .
