Ladder Damascus?

I remember reading something regarding the discontinuance of ladder damascus by CRK. However, I can't seem to find where I read that as I think it was an individual comment in an anonymous thread.

Can anyone confirm or deny whether this is true?

Oh, and to make this thread more interesting, lets post pictures of any CRKs we have with ladder blades!

Is it possible that you are confusing Ladder with Spirograph? I don't recall hearing that Ladder was discontinued.

I know they have canned spirograph but not sure about the ladder pattern ? Ladder a pretty standard pattern and while perhaps a bit old now it's still makes for fine looking blade IMO. I have never liked spirograph any way because it just looks messy to me.

I could've sworn it was ladder, but I may well be confusing it with spirograph. In fact, now that I think about it, I think you guys are right.

Ladder isn't going anywhere, well, at least not any time soon. You are confusing ladder with Spirograph.

HistoricalMan -- my apologies in advance for hijacking your thread a bit. :o

Sk8n -- great to see an old friend, alive, well, and in use! I've never EDC'ed damascus. How is the blade holding up? And how are the MIB inlays wearing? I'm EDCing a MIB Mnandi as well, in the standard issue pouch. And you?

The inlays show no wear whatsoever. The damascus at the tip has a bit less contrast than it used to. I am sure it could be etched to restore the contrast, maybe some day. Otherwise the blade has held up extremely well.
I carry it in a black sharkskin sheath made by Paul Long which I absolutely love.
