Ladder Damascus

What's inside of the Devin Thomas Ladder Damascus as far as steels or alloys? It seems to take a better edge than the S30V in my CRK knives. Thanks.
 
I wish I knew. I agree with you. My stainless steel basketweave damascus mnandi takes an awsome edge and it far tougher than any steel I have ever used, even S30V. I would like to have a large regular with a damascus blade to EDC as the steel is so tough and holds an excellent edge. Devin Thomas is going to quit making the High Carbon Damascus and ONLY make the Stainless Steel Damascus. Thanks good news as now you will not have to worry about the Damascus Rusting.
 
I'd also love to know, it's like VG-10 on steroids. What ever it is, it must have a really fine grain to it :cool:

I don't have a dammy Seb,just yet(year wait!:grumpy:),but the Devin damascus on my Case Trapper lock is amazing.Just like stated in the OP,takes a great edge & holds it!
 
I have 2 with the stainless Damascus ( both ladder) and they rock. I have been EDCing one off and on for over 6 months for all types of cutting and I finally resharpened it. It kicks a$$
