Hello Friends...Here are some 'Old Girls' just waiting for some attention.
Top row from left.
Sandvik 4lb. Not really my thing. Too flat in the face and thin in the cheeks.
Plumb 41/2 lb. A bit pitted but still good. I like the rounded poll.
Plumb 41/2 lb. I like the look of this old 'War Horse'.
Kelly 4lb. Pick of the bunch. Branded 'Worlds Finest' Made in USA. Note the grooved eye and nice paint.
Bottom row from left.
Unknown. Not much tempered steel. Nice shape but probably junk.
Brades Criterion 362. A nice little English axe.
Trumpeter 11/2 lb. Identified by the 'Hangman".

regards...Frank.

Looks as if your like me Frank...
We just have too many 'ladies in waiting' :D
I really like that 2nd Plumb and the KELLY... ;)

Thanks for the pic!

Hey Frank, nice pieces! I'm a little embarrassed about how many "ladies in waiting" i have. I really need to get more hung. I have many more axes sitting in a wooden crate than I have on my axe wall where they have handles.

I really like that Plumb with the bevels, that thing is bad. The Kelly is sweet too, of course.

In a couple weeks, that Trumpeter axe will have a big brother to hang with. :D

Take care,

Matt
