A new beauty in my herd.

As I found, the 506 was told Lady Buck in its first production jear, and later White Knight. And what's the name of the beauty? Guys, has anyone of you an answer for me? Please klick on the pic'.

Best Regards,
Haebbie

I’ve seen them called both, Lady Buck & White Knight. Lady Buck is a nice name and all but White Knight is more in keeping with the whole Duke, Squire, Prince, Knight naming convention of the 500, 501, 503, 505 group. Nice knife. Welcome back. I hope your Easter was pleasant and fulfilling.

Thank you, Will, for the post and the welcome.

Yes, we had a pleasant easter. My youngest son, my wife and I wandered around a little area in Germany called "Hassberge". It is full of castle ruins and more or less older chateaus.

And you, did you have contemplative Easter too?

Best regards,
Haebbie

Yes thanks, we had a really nice weekend. We had a family get together on Good Friday with a big meal, nice big roast and all the fix’ens. I think my wife planned it this way so that she could make shepherd’s pie on Sunday with the leftover roast and gravy. She knows her shepherd’s pie is my favorite meal. Must be love.

 Hey Goose, I wanted to share something with you if you dont already know about it. Check out www.roguechopper.com. I just got mine yesterday for my Evo engine. Always knew there was still dirty oil in there! Now, no more!!

Cool beans Hoe3...
Thanks...I have bookmarked it.
I remember taking my 110 to the bottom of an oil pan scraping out sludge.
Oh, the memories.

(How's that for keeping it Buck related :))
Also, cool donut!!!

The Lady Buck was so named in an attempt to appeal to our women customers. That is the name the knife had when introduced. We soon found out that the name was too feminine and that guys, who really liked the knife, did not really want to cary around a knife called the Lady Buck. So we changed the name. My 1979 catalogue says Lady Buck and another cat. which I believe is from 1980, says White Knight. Funny thing is I can't find enough collaborating evidence to nail down the intro year of this knife.

Joe,
I have different catalogs from 1980 that seem to prove the change must have happened in 1980 (unless the first catalog just did not get the name changed) because one of them identifies the 506 as "Lady Buck" and in the next one it is named the "White Knight".

I found a PDF that says, that the 506 was introduced in '78. But the question again: Is the knife on the pic male or female? ;)

Best,
Haebbie
