Does anybody else have a collection of 'em?

As "tacky" as the are, I have a fascination with them and their beautiful simplicity as blades bottle openers... Found over the years that they make great conversation starters at BBQ and parties and such, when someone asks for a bottle opener and you hand them a leg...

I only like the small versions, and have yet to get into the higher end GEC french kates, but I do still unashamedly love my schrades, rough riders, and even the ridge runners...

Just one mate .but this has a little bit more

It seems so awkwardly out of place every time I lift the drawer and see my assorted lady legs along with a pair of dusters and skull beads, lol.

Those full body lady knives are pregnant. Sorry, I couldn't come up with any jokes allowed in this forum :)

I like that you like them. You do have a nice collection of them.

You should look for some of the original Remington versions made as promotional items for the Nehi Cola company in the 1920s. They were definitely intended as bottle openers, as well as a tie-in to the other Nehi advertising of the day showing a shapely set of legs.

Only ones I ever see these days are on auction sites, and are either in terrible condition, too steepba price, and/or red flags for counterfeits... But I certainly do keep my eyes peeled for 'sm.

Here is one I had, and have sold. Bridge Cutlery, Elks Lodge knife. Dated 1902-1931.

No collections here, just this fancy one in elephant ivory. If you're gonna go kitsch, go BIG! Anyone with a decent collection should have at least one of these!

BTW, that lady in post #2 is what's called Classical Beauty. I like it a lot!

See, my problem is, I would love to own more, more colors, more nicer (northfield) ones, but as much as I like them, I like a lot of other knives also, and with my budget, when I think of a $100+ lady leg, I'm also thinking about a dozen other knives, locking folders, fixed blades, kabars to kershaws, and the (high end) lady leg seems to fall down in priority, and another $10-15 rough Rider pattern gets thrown in the mix...

One day I'll have all/enough of the framelock and fixed blades to push those down a notch in priority, at which point I'll likely start jumping at more high end lady legs to satisfy that collection.

They are great though, small enough to fall into the pocket without a care, handy enough to still open packages and what have you, and when a non twist off beer comes a calling, it's easier then unfolding a SAK.

Thanks! I don't think I'll ever part with this one. The serial # is my son's birthday. I do know where you can get one, but the ivory ones are significantly more than the regular Northfields. Email me if you want the info.

My latest acquisition: another cheap Chinese model, "timber Wolf", but I love the colors and design, and couldn't resist the price... It does have a few scuffs as it is used, but still happy to have added to the herd.

It's ok to to love the "Oh oh oh little china girls"
