Watsup y'all. I have been recently looking for a around 25 dollar knife for my sister who is turning 18 in about a month. I have narrowed it down to rather the ambitious or the ladybug. Just some small knives for now. She really loves the color purple. So at first the ladybug was my first choice and I figured perhaps the ambitious would fit her more since it would allow her to do more with it. She is not like a "girly" girl, Just pointing that out.I personally had never try neither of this. Since I am more like a big knife guy. So, if any of you could help out a little here, it would be greatly appreciated.:D

I would go with the ambitious. I'd rather have more cutting edge, and the 8crmov will probably be easier for her to sharpen that VG-10.

I'd start with the purple Ladybug and see how it goes from there.

I agree with the Ladybug. These are good starter knives and won't raise eyebrows with her other friends. You can always buy a larger knife after she finds out how useful any knife can be.

She can throw the ladybug in her purse or on the keys, and it would be less hassle than clipping it somewhere. Its more along the lines of a SAK classic, which is something everyone seems to love more and more as soon as they realize how useful it is. Let her gain appreciation for it, and she will like the ambitious even more down the road.
