Got a very encouraging call from John Moore at Mission Knives today.

The Beta-Ti, water-jet cut to our specs, is en route to us for delivery on Monday, April 15th, so that we may begin machining T3 heads. Our first batch will indeed be small, and only a handful will be made available to the public from the first run.

These will be available at www.1sks.com and Kevin has been taking pre-orders. You can click here to place yours... http://www.onestopknifeshop.com/store/american-tomahawk.html

After machining, they go back to Mission for their proprietary heat treatment and oxide blast. Then, back to us for final finishing and assembly. We are TOTALLY pumped!!!!

How do the new guys look, just like the SHOT show prototypes? What does the probe look like and how does it fit in the handle?

Finish is that dark slate gray that's on all of Mission's stuff.
In terms of the general machining and design, it looks very much like the Shot Show proto.

The probe is a threaded affair, as it is attached to the buttcap and removable.
