i love the la griffe, recently bought one, but i hate the sheath. so it hasnt been carried at all. im not a fan of neck carry, or inverted carry in general.

tekloks, which im not a fan of either, dont fit anyway.

i recently requested a leather belt, cross draw sheath, and it is almost ready!!! i havent been this excited about a sheath in quite some time.

That is, no contest, the neatest carry for a small knife I've seen. Beautifully done.
 
Mori: Are you planning on wraping the handle?

Nice score. I have had my eye on one of those for a while. I almost grabbed one this week but got side tracked with a Swamp Warden. Let me know how it feels.

BTW: Dwayne nailed it on that sheath. I can't wait to see the final product. ;)
 
That's good to know, because I use to carry my Lagriffe inserted in-between the sleeve cover of my organizer and I left it in my storage and it's been 6months or so now that I did not pull it out.
 
You may get tarnish on an edge bevel, but the rest is coated. It never hurts to rub oil on a covert piece that may sit for long time between use or inspection. Food grade mineral oil is good, although I doubt you'd use LaGriffe for food prep. :)

no, gonna leave the handle as is.

at around 60.00, they are a great bargain.

i hadnt considered the iwb strap, good idea. it is not the quality of the sheath, it is made well, and the fit is good.

i prefer leather for edc. my kydex sheaths get used in molle configs generally.

the only problem i see with my set up is resheathing. I could see a huskier fella giving himself a poke trying to get it back in.
its worth giving a shot...well, until you get that leather one.

i sent the knife in for fitting, so they will come together. but ill still give your idea a try at some point.
 
I have an original LaGriffe purchased at SHOT in 1999 where the LaGriffe debuted. In addition to the kydex neck sheath which is a different configuration from the current one, a small inside the waistband kydex clip also came with it. It's just a small bent piece of kydex that screwed onto the neck hole and hooked behind your belt. Pretty nifty and a great option at the time!
