LaGriffe finish / sheath?

Hi. I was currious for any info on the standard LaGriffe finishes. I had one a year or so ago that had the same finish as thier coated folders. I've also seen them with a rougher finish recently. Is that how they're made now? How do they compare between one and other?
Also, I've seen a change in the sheaths. The one I had came with a curved sheath, but some I've seen now have a squared off sheath. Any significant difference there? -As always, thanks.

The older La Griffes had an oxide finish thats its not actually the same as the other black finish but it was black so ......

The newer La Griffes have a black crincle coat finish that looks like the one busse combat use.
The sheaths for them have changed over the years but my last crincle finish one had a square kydex sheath.
I have 2 oxide ones that came with different sheaths as well, one square one shaped.
I like the square sheath my self as it just sits and looks better IMO but both do the job.
There is a member here MORIMOTOM who had a nice leather sheath made for his La G.

I much prefer the older finish to the newer one personaly but the newer crincle finish can
be stripped off easily so you can bead blasted it or something to give a different look.
