Saw a nice article in TK Mag. Does anybody know any online dealers of these knives? They only have e-mail addresses and phone numbers in the article.

Hi,
Try pcd.com. They have them. $100-$500. Don't know if this is a good price or not. I've ordered cooking supplies from them before with prompt shipping. Good Luck, Let us all know how they are.

Try here:

They're very well built knives; in fact, I own the exact knife pictured here: http://www.laguiole-elite.com/cgi-cs/cs.waframe.content?click=2884&lang=1 ; I actually knew it was coming into their shop, and bought it (over the 'net, of course} while they were still photographing it for the web page you now see. The wood really does smell like pepper, although how long the scent will last I'm not certain. Give them a call; they're very friendly, and provide excellent service.

There are many different makers of the Laguiole style pocket knife in France. The quality will vary accordingly . I was disappointed with one I received from Actiforge. That was the only one I have bought from them. I have owned several from Societe Forge de Laguiole and they were of much better quality. The cutlerytogo people, that bensano suggested, have a very nice selection of makers on thier site and are first class to deal with.
Regards, Greg
