Lahar arrived!

Hey guys,

Well, I ever so cautiously stepped across the ice-covered road (2" of ice! ) to my mail box. And this is was the mail-lady brought me...........

Here's a few pics of the blade, tail, and group picture!:thumbup:

I was never as exited about the Lahar as I was the JYDII............but that was until I held it. Very solid, great lines, and very comfortable! My only issue with it is that I tended to grip it a little hard and I noticed the handle compress a bit. But no matter how hard I grip it, that lock will not shake loose! Great construction!

Now to send some of my unused knives off to the Bay, I can buy the composite JYDII, and maybe the Yellowhorse Leek. Now that is one great looking blade (to just leave sitting on a shelf unless I'm in a suit)!

Yup, ice! We received another big ol' ice storm here the other day. Three inches of ice in four hours. Melted a little yesterday, so there's only about an inch left. That main pic is on the side of an old barn relocated in '47 to where it is now. Nobody knows just how old it is. When boards fall off, I cut them down and make scales! The wood is at least seventy years old!

Reholli, I think you'll be happy with the Lahar. It is the finest folding knife I have ever owned (not the most expensive but definitely the finest)!

NIce!Glad another satisfied owner came up. I'll agree to Gauge7 that this is one of the finest folding knife a man on a budget could get. I love my Endura but side by side with my Lahar the latter feels more substantial and expensive.

The mail-lady is the sexiest thing in the world when she is carrying the box with your knife in it! I love working from home on the days I am expecting a package! Nice Lahar, I have to get me one of those!

I paid $50 plus shipping. I could have paid less, but I don't do Pay-pal.
Love this knife. I had wanted something that would last me at least a decade of pocket carry, and in a bad situation be able to get me through. I think the Lahar is the answer. I had wanted a folder that if I ever lost my other gear, I would be fine with just my pocket knife. But paired off, it makes a great addition to my Ka-bar (D2).
