Just ordered a Lahar after seeing a couple of them for sale in the exchange for almost double what I paid. I bought it mainly because it has been discontinued (I seem to have a fetish for discontinued Kershaws) and because it was less than $50.

I get the impression that it's a good knife from reading some comments about it.

49.95 at bladehq at the moment. Always meant to pick one up so grabbed one the other day from them. Thanks Bladehq

I got mine about 3 years ago. I don't remember the name of the web site, for $73 shipped. I got the last 1 they had in stock.

I looked on line for quite a while before I found a dealer that had any.

Great knife for the price. Had mine for years. I'm thinking about grinding the flipper off.

So did you get yours yet?
Just got mine today, and I really dig the satin VG10 blade. The handle could be a bit longer but it's not too bad. Definitely worth $50.

Yes I received mine the other day. Nice knife although I dont really care for the shiny finish its a print magnet. Great size and the G10 is very nice. Kind of thin lock bar but probably fine for what it is. All in all great deal and will be making someone very happy when I give it away in the future.

So these are original Lahars right?
Not a special new run???

Ahh who am I kidding, I'm getting one anyway. :D

Don't think they are a special run.
The marking on the blade just says Japan vg10.
This is my first Japanese made Kershaw and I am definitely impressed with it. The liner lock is a tad thin, but very early and very solid, so I don't see it as a problem.
