Scroll down for maxped 10x4 setup.
Just got back from four great, relaxing days on the lake with my son and an army buddy of his. We've got a backwoods spot on a bay in LBL that we camp at every year. It's remote, but we can drive to it, so we bring plenty of goodies.
Had some low 30's in the forecast so we closed in a couple of canopies with canvas and picked up a few bales of straw to sleep on.
The view from the living room.
The first night was "Jeff soup". Damn good stuff. Here's the bacon and veggies simmering to make the base.
Next morning was cold and the lake put on a show.
Some BK7 goodness
Some breakfast
My grandson gets a hiking stick made by his dad.
We did a lot of this
Cheese dip and beer after a long hike
and some burgers
big fires at night
blue sky and toys during the day
had a little contest..knife, chunk of wood and firesteel..first one to boil water.
I didn't come close to winning..
one more of the camp
Just wanted to share a really special time with you, thanks for looking.
Sorry it took me a couple of days, but here you go.
Got the pouch on the left at Friedman's, the magazine pouch at US Cav near Ft. Campbell
Here's the stack up in the main bottle compartment:
The magazine pouch holds my V8 can stove and fuel
