well was a exciteing weekend
both brothers went to this 'gatorland show' with me this weekend
but haveing joined i needed to tell all the name of this club is
the Gator Cutlery Club which i joined this weekend

now there were by my consertive count ..
11(min) or more BCC members there with sale or display only tables!
4 of them there only had sale tables and one sale and display tables
there were several (5+ ?) BCC members that showed up as lookers

i will leave it to clint to provide names as i ... well have that old timers thing
there were several members from last year that were not able to make it this year..
a snafu almost left me out of the show-seems i missed sending in time my request for tables so they did not have me down as coming..
but the show director managed to come up with two tables across from the clubs tables that i was able to rent on my own
and i could show 8 of my 10 cases o brought with me there
which for which reason of Dan going out of Dan his way i decided to join their club!
and i have already paid for next year for three full tables !
To ALL of you BCC members in Florida
the club will cover one table for you free if
you will come and show your Bucks off as
this is a BCCI sanctioned event!!!

i took a few pictures and will post them later today
why i even managed to deal on two knives i did not yet have
and ... and scored on a one of less then 50
BCCI LIFE TIME MEMBER SILVER BELT BUCKLE
with out a name or life member number engraved on it
yes i am going to put my name on it !
as it will not ever be a for sale item...
yes will post a pict of this also

well i have to pause now as my knives are still in the car!
later guys!

Great work Dave,

I can't wait to see your photo's and hear more about the event from you and Clint.

Gene Merrit had the BCCI table and a real nice classy Yellowhorse collection..Dick Wilson brought out some great stag Bucks in a nice 'Pro' cases.. Jim Holbrook had the finest collection of 500's that could EVER be assembled that I personally spent hours checking out...By far one of the best displays ANYWHERE!Frank Meek had 3 tables full of great deals and sold quite a few too.. Bill Gardiner and his honey bunch[LM1796] of Lady Lake Fl. had a table FULL of bucks for sale including some of the new 113's ..Next time sit/set up with the club Bill! When our membership sets up,attends and supports a show like this it puts Buck's name out in a good way.The knolage and fellowship and friendship that comes from spending 3 days together is priceless!Even if your not ready to display your collection come on out and hang out!We all had a really great time..We all learned something new about our hobby and flew the Buck flag proudly..Dan does a great job running the event too...I would love to see next year Buck have a even greater 'presence' at the show,it is the major show in the SE..Chuck,CJ could you make it down here in 2012???? Now what could be bad about coming to Florida in January???At least send Joe with a box or two of 'stuff' to pass out to the young kids who come to this show..and,ah, maybe a small box of FB's and BO's for the fateful........

this was steps in a custom knife to fit a high $ sheath!
wow a knife made to fit a sheath ...

a new friend at Alabama Damascus

he bought my 3x 4 foot sheet of micarta!
dont you wander what he will do with it? ;)

Thanks for sharing Dave, hope to get to some knife shows ,they have cancelled or moved them from here.

What about more knife pics Bro! Jim really had case's of 1 of 1 custom 500's....You can really learn a lot about Bucks when you really have time to chat..Chuck,CJ, come on DOWN!!!!! Bring Joe too..ITE you need to come next year and bring the GB to take to Disney!I can't wait to see some of yours.

There must have been close to a hundred folks stop and talk to us..A reporter took some pic's of our displays..All i all a great show!

About how many 110s do think you have collected Dave?

lol
last april i had to count all of them ... new or used
for legal reasons.
[[oh you know if you get it from any place other then a
retail seller it is a 'used' knife?
only new from a tax paying retailer!]]

and put them in two tool boxes and had a contest ...
the contest was how many 110 ( related) in each
and total..
the total was ( at that time ) over 270
now i total over 300..
how many over ... i dont know
some one once said
if you know how many you have
you dont have enough:D

the news paper reporter asked me if i was the largest 110 collector ?
i replied that i 'think' i have the largest collection( 110's only that is)
that is displayed now but that i did not know..

some times i really do wander who has more of them then i do...
and a question in my mind is

how many 110's do you guys out there have?
is an academia question only...

not that is its a question that really means a lot to me
as in that i will now try to be the largest...

but .. i now wander how many collections are larger then mine..
{{you can email me if you wish and i will keep it privet...}}
