Lakeside Axe Head

Does anyone know anything about the brand "Lakeside"?

I came across an old axe with Lakeside stamped in the side of the head in cursive lettering. From the little I've turned up googling and searching this site, it appears Lakeside is an old and now defunct brand of tools. However, that's far as I've gotten.

Any info would be much appreciated. I can furnish pictures if there is any interest.

Hi LBG, just ran into your post. Lakeside was an old Montgomery Ward and Co. house brand. I'd say last used in the 50's Hope this helps, Mike
