lamborghini lauching vid

That Murcielago has a lot of rubber on the ground.

Speed bumps suck, what a nasty surprise.

DaveH,
That video is labeled AWD (All Wheel Drive). How much more did you expect?
It looked to have spun all 4 tires for a hundred feet. My speakers don't work so, if there was comentary, I didn't here it.

I think there was plenty of squeeling, look at the rubber marks from all four tires. But the engine's noise drowned it out.

Cool video.

Dubai and Kuwait have a lot of very rich young men with nothing to do. In Kuwait City past Ring Road 6 I was in a big Mercedes doing 200 km/hr and was passed first by a guy on a motorcycle DOING A WHEELIE -- yes, I am not making that up.

He wasn;t going much fater than us.

But a few minutes later A Porsche and Ferrari passed us and passed us very quickly. I don;t know the top end on the turbo carrera but I am going to say they were 30 mph faster than us at a minimum. Maybe more.
They have a lot of fatalities in both places from speeding drivers. And their parents have a lot of wasta so there isn't a ton to stop them.

In America, a bored 19 year old kid with that much money would be doing cocaine and entertaining gorgeous women by the pool. He'd still have the Ferrari but it would be a show piece.

For those of us in the USA, 200 km/hr = 124 mph.

Dubai and Kuwait have a lot of very rich young men with nothing to do.
Top speed of any stock motorcycle is about 185 MPH (298 km/hr), but with some minor and inexpensive mods, a Hayabusa ($13,000 brand new) is capable of 200+ MPH (322 km/hr).

I've read that my twelve-year-old Lincoln (worth $3,000) has a governor at 125 mph (201 km/hr), and is certainly capable of maintaining that speed. Even my cheap Honda is allegedly capable of 140 mph (225 km/hr).

One of the fastest vehicles on the planet, an Ariel Atom. The Atom goes 0-100 mph in only 6 seconds and 0-60 in under three seconds. It costs around $30,000 brand new, slightly higher than an average-priced family automobile.

So being ultra-rich is not a prerequisite for being ultra-fast.

Best Wishes,
-Bob
