Riad,
I'm sure you are well pleased, those sheaths are works of art.
The knives are just as beautiful.
Congrats on the new acquisitions!

The sheath for the Jason Knight is terrific and I think is the best of all the PL sheaths I recall viewing.

Riad,
The Lamey is awesome, I love that textured finish.

The Knight is a great piece. I handled that knife and liked it alot. It was very snaky!
A different kind of a knife for Jason.

That Lamey is a great looking knife and the sheath that goes with it is equally as nice.

I fing the Knight knife and its sheath to be fantastic. I love the lines on that knife, both the blade and the handle. Inlayed sheaths are my favorite. That along with the working done on that sheath make it a real standout.

Nice knives and sheaths.

I really like how Paul shaped the sheath to fit the re-curve and drop of the Knight blade. Most sheathmakers would just have oversized the sheath to compensate for it.

And most definitely the finest photos that Paul has ever done. ;)

And the worst part is that Paul takes those pics on the tailgate of his truck with his little Kodak digital camera.....sheesh!!!!:D Great looking stuff!!!

I hate to say it, but there is a serious flaw with both those knives....

.... they're not mine! :p

Seriously, both knives are absolutely killer and Paul did them proud as he always does. In particular, I really dig the texturing on the Lamey piece and LOVE the blade shape on the Knight fighter. Congrats and thanks for the look.

Somehow the curve of the blade and the curve of the sheath stir up a
strong feeling of excitement....... Two impressive pieces of knife art!

All the best,

Congrats, Ran,

Three artists, texture of the sheath repeated in Matt's forge- marks, and contrasted by Jason's slick finishes, beautiful pieces.

You must be thrilled with both knives AND those sheaths add a lot to both of them.

Every time I see Paul Long's sheaths they seem to be more impressive than the last!

Thanks for posting them,
Peter

Don..that is how my name was spelled on my diploma but its wrong..I before A :D
there are forge marks on the other side of the Lamey as well
the piece is flat ground on one side only including plunge...Paul said it is Nasty Nasty sharp

only one thing to say:

OHH MY GOD!!!!

sweet looking knives and nothing less than perfect by mr. long

Two super nice looking knives. I've really been paying attention to Mr. Long's work recently, and its all looking really great. I hope to examine one up close and personal at OKCA this weekend.

Both knives are RICH with style and materials. The sheaths elevate them that much further. Talk about poster boys for handmade knives!

Attaboy is not out-of-place. Nice.

Man those are great! Paul makes amazing sheaths, I think the work on the fighter is particularly outstanding.
