this one had been posted before by matt, but i thought i could add my own pictures to give you an idea of the incredible hamon matt painted on the blade.

wish i could capture the hamon in my photos as well. I may have to save these photos for my site. the Foster hamon looks like flowers, really like it.
 
That's a fine piece you have there.

I had a good visit with Matt on my way to Batson's Hammer-in and another on my way home. Thanks for letting me leave all that W2 steel in Jasper Matt and keep up the great work :thumbup: :D

thanks roger and don for the kind words! matt's work is impressive, i like these hefty, sturdy and incredibly sharp working horses. and they look good! you get a nice blade for the money :)

That Foster hamon looks very close to how I've heard "kikusui" described (I've never personally seen an actual example).
