Hi,

I'm just wondering if anybody is carying a creditcard sized piece of paper, laminated between plastic, with general info about the owner of the Survival kit, some medical info (if any), personal things like date born, address, marital status, important telephone numbers/ contact info and a pasport sized photo.

I created such info sheets using a very small windows font, print them on an sheet of paper and cut out the "double credit-card sized info fold it stick my picture to it and seal it by laminating it between plastic.

You'll be supprised how much data one can get on both sides of the creditcard sized infosheet.
In case something happens to you "Out There"

and you're not able to answer the persons that find you they can retrieve valuable info by looking at the info on the card.

I fitted the card with a hole for a chain/rope so when things turn nasty, Survival wise, you can even hang it around your neck, or attach it to your keychain, belt etc.

Does anybody like this idea ? I came to use it when going on normal vacations with my wife and kids and I wanted to keep track of all the passport numbers creditcard numbers (Sorry no pincodes on it

) and telephone numbers to call in case off.... Health insurance insurance numbers etc.

I made several copies of the card sealed them and carried one in my shoe under the footbed, one my wife kept one I had in my wallet.

Cheers from Holland,

Health insurance numbers etc.

That's a great idea! I don't always carry my wallet with me b/c sometimes I forget it or if I go out into the field I don't have anyplace to keep it. I usually have dogtags but the info on them is limited.

I like that idea too. It would be great for remembering complicating things like the edibility test.
